Are you waiting for Android 4.3 OTA updates?
If yes, then we have good news for you. In the recent Google’s Android and Chrome event, Hugo Barra said that most of the Nexus phones would begin getting OTA updates to Jelly Bean Android 4.3 before so long. I know you must be keen to know what devices are going to receive this update. Well, these are:
- Nexus 4
- Nexus 7
- Nexus 10
- Galaxy Nexus (GSM)
Although the update has started rolling out a few days back, yet there are millions of users who still wait for it. The latest version of Jelly Bean would be coming in the parts just as previous updates. No matter if you still have not got the Android 4.3 OTA update because we have method by which you can grab the same update manually. On the other hand, you may keep on waiting until over-the-air upgrade hits your device.
Here are the download links (JWR66V):
Important Note: Your device must be running stock Android 4.2.2 in order to get update through these files.
Below are some options to update using these files:
- 1. If you are stock, non-rooted & hate adb sideload – The “adb sideload” command can be a little tricky, so another good way to get your job done is a custom recovery. Now flash the OTA file using it. You may select from two recoveries: ClockworkMod or TWRP.
- 2. If you are stock, non-rooted – Here you can use the “adb sideload” command and get your job done without any custom recovery or root.
- 3. If you are stock – rooted – with a customer recovery – you can easily flash OTA zip files in the recovery and then update. If you miss anything, use this G+ Post for the instructions.
