The month of May has passed and now it’s time to let you guys know about the performance of different Android versions. Google has just released its hottest Android distribution analysis and we must look into stats in order to know the performance level.
As far as the month of April is concerned, we observed an upright move of the KitKat and the same trend continuous in the last month too. As per the Android stats for May 2014, the usage of Android 4.4 has been quite impressive as compared to others. It looks the tablet-oriented Honeycomb goes too deeper even under 0.1% and this could be the reason why it has gone from the distribution chart.
If we compare with the last month stats, the hottest Android KitKat goes from 8.5% to 13.6% which is awesome. Similarly, the Jelly Bean 4.3 and 4.2 grew from 8.5% to 10.3% and 18.8% to 19.1%. Although JB takes the most of this distribution, yet KitKat is rising very fast and it might beat the former in a few upcoming months.
As expected, the old versions of the Google’s mobile operating system are seeing fall. Also the Jelly Bean 4.1 has lessened by 4.5%, Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 by 1.1%, Gingerbread Android 2.3 by 1.3% and the Froyo Android 2.2 by a mere 0.2%.
One thing that cannot be neglected at all is the several success opportunities for the newest Android versions, just like KitKat. Users like to get the hottest version of OS on their smartphone and tablet because it provides them with new features. Hope you liked the android stats for May 2014, especially if your device is running KitKat (any of its newest versions). We will be back with more info, so stay in touch to know more.
