HTC One developer edition was especially created for the developers. The handset was sold out by HTC with a monster 64GB storage capacity. Now it has turned out that the device will skip the Jelly Bean Android 4.2.2 and grab directly the hottest Android 4.3. This information has been leaked out by Jason Mackenzie who is the president of HTC global sales.
He provided this information while answering a question on twitter. The company has considered v4.2.2 as a minor update and that’s the reason why they are bringing the developer’s edition straight to Android 4.3. Let us remind you that some of the HTC One non-U.S. editions have been upgraded to the Android v4.2.2 along with some extra improvements. The prominent goodies include video highlights and BlinkFeed.
We cannot say anything certain about the availability of this particular update on the carrier-bound versions since the update has been confirmed for the HTC One developer edition only. If you are using this device under some carrier branding then ask your network carrier about the upcoming update. However, Verizon is finally launching HTC One on the coming Thursday with Android 4.2.2. So Verizon lovers must get ready to grab the product because it’s not too far away from now.
The Snippet below will give you a clear idea of what Jason said in response to a query. We will be back soon with more interesting and useful information. So stay connected to our news blog to get instant Android updates.
